The Medina Police Department is happy to announce that the suspect in at least two burglaries and one theft of a motor vehicle that occurred in Medina in December of 2024 has been apprehended. A joint Seattle Police Department, City of Medina - Police Department and Federal Law Enforcement Investigation identified and eventually captured the suspect during a joint operation on February 27th. The suspect faces upwards of 35 felony charges for crimes committed in Seattle, Medina and Sammamish.

Two road closures reported due to downed trees & power lines. Power is out in several areas of the points communities, including Medina City Hall where the backup generator is also not working. Officers are making sure roadways are safe and continuing to respond to all 911 calls. Please travel safely and see E-lert bulletin for further details and safety resources.
