Welcoming Erik Jendre to Buckeye! Erik is 36 years old and brings six years of teaching experience to the district. He taught in Charlotte for four years before returning to his home state of Ohio, having grown up in Independence. He is married to his wife, Jenna, and together they have a nearly two-year-old daughter named Lux.
An avid Cleveland sports fan and loyal Ohio State Buckeyes supporter, Erik also loves cooking, spending time with family and friends, reading, and watching movies, with Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Star Wars topping his list of favorites. He is eager to kick off the new school year, sharing, "Go Bucks!"

In partnership with Cuyahoga County Community College, Buckeye High School has opened its new on-site Associate's Academy and College Credit Plus Lab. High School Principal Adam Snook was integral in bringing this exciting opportunity to BHS, which provides a structured pathway for high school students to work toward both a Buckeye High School diploma and a Tri-C associate's degree by the time they graduate.

Introducing Mallory Shepard! This year, Mallory will be serving as the 4th-grade intervention specialist at the intermediate school. A graduate of Ashland University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, she is licensed to teach both general and special education for grades Pre-K through 5th. She is most excited to build strong relationships with her students and become an active part of the Buckeye community. We're thrilled to have her at Buckeye!

Welcome Stan Smith to Buckeye Local Schools! Stan is entering his 14th year teaching high school math and has taught everything from Algebra 1 to AP Statistics and AP Precalculus. This year, he’ll be teaching Geometry and Algebra 2 at Buckeye High School. Stan and his wife have been Medina residents for nearly 10 years, and he is thrilled to join the Buckeye community!
