Busy day yesterday for Station 50, responding to 6 calls for service. Starting at 7 AM for the accident with injuries on Dutton Mill Rd which was quickly upgraded to entrapment upon arrival of Chief 52. Last night at the Middletown Township Council meeting, we honored outgoing Fire Chief Duke Nasino for his many years of dedicated service.

Chief Nasino joined Middletown Fire Company No. 1 in February 2005, where he quickly rose through the ranks. He was elected Captain in 2008 and 2009. In 2010, he was elected Assistant Chief, later serving as Deputy Chief from 2011 through 2014. In 2015, he was elected Fire Chief, a position he held with distinction through 2025.

In addition to his continuing service as a township firefighter, Chief Nasino has been appointed to serve on the Middletown Fire Company, Board of Directors, where he will continue to play a vital role in the fire company's success. We thank Chief Nasino for his years of service to the township and wish him the best of luck in his new role.

We also had the opportunity to recognize four students from Delaware County Technical School (DCTS) who participated in a co-op program with our township fire companies and EMS units (Rocky Run No. 46 and Middletown Fire Company No. 50). These students work alongside our duty crews and respond to real emergencies. This hands-on experience helps each student gain the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in the emergency services field.
