Marriage Monday!

Today we are featuring Reilly and Kenneth 🌺 The couple is from Pottsville, PA but now lives in Ridley Park. They first met in their high school band at Pottsville High School. Kenneth played the drums and Reilly played the saxophone. Their first date was at a Cat Cafe in Lewisville, PA (they absolutely love animals). Kenneth popped the question at John Heinz Refugee and is getting married at the Yuengling Mansion in Pottsville. Reilly is a zookeeper, which keeps her love for animals growing! They love traveling to different zoos and have 5 pets together. 2 cats, 1 snake, and 2 geckos. Reilly has two amazing tattoos of deer (the entire office admired the art)!

We wish the couple a lifetime of happiness and are so happy they stopped in!💕💍

A very busy week for the ROW office!

On Thursday, the Register and a few members of our team attended the Senior Expo at Drexelbrook hosted by Senator Tim Kearney, Representative Heather Boyd, and Representative Gina Curry. It was an amazing event with countless vendors who were able to provide their services to the seniors of Delco.

On Friday, the Register attended the 9/11 remembrance ceremony at Rose Tree Park. We were accompanied by several Senators, Officials, the Sheriff, Representatives, first responders, and so many more. We honored those we lost that day and remembered the events that took place. Never Forget.

Friday was Mara’s last day in our office. We will miss seeing her every day but can’t wait to see where she goes and all that she accomplishes. Good luck Mara, we love you!

Introducing our new Legal Extern, Kennedy!👋

Kennedy recently joined us in the ROW office as a legal extern. She is in her 3rd and final year at Drexel Law ( Go Dragons)! Her favorite class so far has been Conflict of Laws, but she still isn't quite sure what kind of law she wants to practice.

Kennedy is from South Jersey and did her undergrad at Alvernia University, majoring in criminal justice. While in college, Kennedy ran cross country and still loves running today. Along with running, she loves her guinea pig, her dog, and the show Tires.

Kennedy said she had the most exciting month of May. She found out one of her papers (65 pages to be exact😳) was being published. A few days later, she accepted a job as a Law Clerk which will begin in August. As if that was not enough, she got engaged at the Dolomites, a beautiful mountain range in Italy. 😍

We are super excited to teach Kennedy a thing or two about our office!😉

Happy Friday & long weekend!

On Saturday, a few members of our team attended Representative Delloso's senior expo in Folcroft. This event was a great way to talk to local seniors and answer any questions they had regarding estates. Thank you to Rep Delloso and his team for the invite!

Our new marriage clerk, Heidi, completed her first week in the ROW office this week. Heidi is catching on very fast and we are excited for her to be here. Welcome Heidi!

Our legal extern, Kennedy has also officially arrived. Kennedy is with us 3 days a week from Drexel and is looking forward to learning more about estate law and the orphans' court. We love passing on our knowledge to students and hope she learns a whole lot!

"Intestate" is a word we hear frequently in our office.🏢 Intestate means dying without a last will or testament. When someone dies intestate, the Pennsylvania Intestate Succession determines who gains control of the estate and who receives the assets.

To avoid the state determining who gets your assets, make a will!!! 📝😄

Kennedy is a law student at Drexel University. She was lucky enough to be selected as our new law extern, and we are just as lucky to have her here. We look forward to getting to know Kennedy and teaching her everything you need to know about wills, estates, and the Orphans' Court. Welcome Kennedy!

We acquired a few new canvas prints with historical Delco maps and landmarks. Slowly but surely, we are attempting to bring some life to the bare walls! Take a look at some of the new artwork the next time you stop in.

We officially hired a new Marriage Clerk! Although she has not started yet, her first day can not come fast enough! Our marriage team is beyond excited to receive some help after being fairly short staffed for a while. We can't wait to meet her and welcome her into our office!

It's still National Make a Will month!
🌟
Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek, insisted that a portion of his remains travel to space. Gene passed away in 1991, and his ashes took a trip to space in 1992 where they stayed for 10 days. In 1997, his ashes joined Celestis’ Founders Flight and remained in orbit until 2002. Gene Roddenberry expressed clear instructions in his last will and testament and his family followed through on those wishes.
