We are aware of the power outage that is impacting the are North of Broadway. It’s estimated that power should be restored within a half hour.

City offices will be closed on Monday, September 7th. We will resume normal hours on Tuesday, September 8th.

The emergency sirens in the City will be tested tomorrow (Wednesday August 26th). All three sirens will be tested, and part of the test requires them to be activated. The sirens will sound at random times during the day for testing.

As the National Weather Service would say - This is only a test.

While today is a busy day at the polls (be sure to head out to your polling location and cast your ballot if you have not done so!) we would like to pass along another road construction project coming up yet this year. Yes, another one.

County Highway Q from Hwy 64 to County Highway O will be having some resurfacing work done. We were informed this should be about a month and a half project - this is not a City project however we are just trying to get information out to those that may be impacted.

Reminder!! Bridge work on Hwy 13 just south of Medford starts Monday!

ROAD CLOSURE - STH 13 - August 3, 2026 - End of September 2026

Please help spread the word about this closure. The Little Black River Bridge on STH 13 will be completely closed to traffic, and there will be NO access through the project area. Motorists should plan ahead and follow the posted detour route.

Detour: STH 29 - STH 97 - STH 64

We are wanting to make certain that the public is aware of the upcoming road closure just south of Medford.

This is not our project; therefore, have no control over the progress this is just simply to help spread awareness of the upcoming project.

In case you missed the first one, Mayor Holmes and City Coordinator Harris are hosting a second Getting to Know You session.

This will be held tomorrow (July 27th) at the Farmers Market from 2 PM - 3 PM. The Farmers Market is held at the RCU Pavilion on Whelen Ave.

Similar to the last one, this is an informal session held to gather thoughts, ideas, and suggestions from the community about our community.

Pool will not be opening today, we apologize for the inconvenience but this is something we are taking seriously for not only staff but our patrons as well.
