Participation in our Teen Summer Reading was up 33% this summer!! We're choosing to believe that it's *not* because participants will have the chance to dunk their librarians this Friday...

For every book read and logged this summer, teens will have 3 throws at one of their librarians in a dunk tank this Friday, September 4. The dunk tank will be set up between 12-3pm and teens who paricipated in summer reading can come at any point in those 3 hours to join in. More details were emailed out today, so check your inbox!

Donations are now open for the Fall Accessory Give Away! There are boxes at each entrance where you can leave your gently used accessories-- no clothes, shoes, coats, linens, or home goods please-- and then join us on Saturday, October 3 to take anything that catches your eye. Everything at the give away is free to all, you don't need to have brough anything in!

Just like that old saying goes, when life gives you weird plumbing issues, throw a goat reading party on the lawn.

We will resume normal hours (9am-9pm) with normal plumbing (working!), and normal goat populations (sadly, zero) at the Library tomorrow morning.

Thank you for your patience! We missed you more than we missed our plumbing today.

Medford Public Library will be closed for the day due to a plumbing issue.

If you are registered for Barn Babies, that program will still take place on the East Lawn. Please don't arrive early for your registered time. Bathrooms facilities will be unavailable onsite.

If you are planning on coming to the Scoop Book Club this evening, that will still take place at Colleen's Ice Cream shop. Please meet there instead of at the Library.

For folks who just wanted to visit, we should be back to normal hours tomorrow! While you wait, our online resources are available 24/7. Be sure to check us out at medfordlibrary.org.

Our second annual ice cream social for teens in middle and high school is happening on Friday, August 21, from 1-3pm. We'll have music, games, and, of course, ice cream.

If you enjoyed the amazing Porchfest performance by students from the Berklee Institute of Jazz and Gender Justice, you’ll LOVE our Studying Jazz event, this Saturday, August 1st, from 1:30-3! Enjoy a free hour-long jazz concert. Then, participate in an open Q&A with the students about the process of studying jazz and what the art form means to them. No registration required.

Looking to clear out your craft supply closet? The Library is hosting its annual Craft Supply Swap on Sunday, August 30th from 12-1pm.

We accept donations of clean, usable craft supplies* at either circulation desk from August 24-29th.

You do not need to donate to come to the swap so if you are looking for MORE craft supplies or want to start a cool, new hobby, we hope to see you at the Library on Sunday, August 30th!

*no machines/equipment of any kind.
