🚒 Busy evening for Hampden Township Volunteer Firefighters, who responded to a washing machine fire, a gas leak, a land rescue, and an auto accident.

Thank you to our firefighters, fire police, Hampden Township Police Department, Hampden EMS, and Cumberland County Communications for their assistance throughout the night.

Tonight at the Hampden Township Board of Commissioners meeting, Volunteer Firefighter/EMT Dalton Forysth was recognized by the Board of Commissioners for recently completing the United States Marine Corps, basic training (boot camp). USMC recruit training is a demanding 13-week physical and mental transformation! Dalton is a graduate of Cumberland Valley HS. The members of HTVFC are so proud of Dalton’s achievement!

🚒🎂 Tonight, members of the Hampden Township Volunteer Fire Company were honored to help celebrate a special birthday with a drive-by parade of emergency vehicles.

Seeing the smiles, waves, and excitement reminded us that being part of the community means more than responding to emergencies. It means showing up for our neighbors and helping create moments that matter.

Tonight was a great night at HTVFC! Mentors worked with new members on various operational skills. Additionally some members practiced for an upcoming firefighter one exam. If you’re interested in learning more about how to volunteer stop by at our Good Hope station on Tuesday nights.

Today’s training was a reminder that skills don’t just happen. They are passed from one firefighter to the next.

Experienced members spent the day teaching, coaching, and sharing lessons learned. Newer firefighters gained hands on experience that will help them perform when someone calls for help on their worst day.

Training builds competence. Mentorship builds firefighters. We are grateful for both. 🚒
