Prevention doesn’t stop after April - it continues with what we do every day.

While National Child Abuse Prevention Month helps raise awareness, the commitment to protecting children and supporting families must carry on year-round. Every child deserves safety, love, and support.

If you suspect a child is being abused or neglected, it’s crucial to report it. Don’t wait for someone else to take action - you could be the one to make a difference in a child’s life.

Let’s continue to raise awareness, support families, and take action when it matters most. Together, we can build a brighter, safer future for all children.

“It takes a village” is an old adage, but it’s one that we should all adhere to if we want to stop child abuse and neglect. -Angela Liddle, PFSA President & CEO

Each month, as part of our Blue Ribbon Campaign, we are recognizing Blue Ribbon Champions for Safe Kids!

In APRIL, we proudly recognize and honor child welfare professionals as Blue Ribbon Champions for Safe Kids.

Child welfare professionals go above and beyond to protect children from abuse and neglect, demonstrating exceptional commitment to keeping kids safe. They play a critical role in strengthening and supporting families while raising awareness and taking action to prevent child abuse across communities. Through their dedication and advocacy, they inspire others to get involved, recognize the signs of abuse, and work together to create safer environments where every child can thrive.

The Blue Ribbon Campaign: Blue Ribbons Make a Difference!

Every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment to grow, dream, and thrive. The Blue Ribbon Campaign is a powerful reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility - one that belongs to each of us.

Originating from a grandmother’s heart-wrenching loss, the blue ribbon has grown into a national symbol of the fight against child abuse. Our mission is to raise awareness, spark meaningful conversations, and honor those who work tirelessly to prevent child abuse and neglect. Through stories, symbolism, and real action, we strive to create a culture where every child’s safety is a priority.

Remember: child protection is not only the work of professionals - it’s the work of all of us. You have a role. You are part of the solution.
