📆May is Mental Health Awareness month. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is an important resource to be aware of. Check out their website here: https://www.samhsa.gov/
📌 There are local resources as well. At 100 Chestnut Street in Harrisburg, there is a psychiatric crisis center. Crisis Intervention is the 24-hour emergency mental health service provided by the Dauphin County Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities Program. Crisis Intervention staff provide supportive counseling, outreach, assessment, and referral information to individuals experiencing an emotional crisis or difficulty coping with a personal problem.

🤝 Mental well-being can be hard to measure and people's suffering may go under the radar. Remember to treat people with empathy as you never know what battles they may be fighting.
