Cumberland Valley Preservation Society at Silver Spring

The Cumberland Valley Preservation Society is a nonprofit organization, dedicated to the preservation, study, teaching and enjoyment of historical sites and buildings located in central Cumberland County Pennsylvania.

Our current project is to move and renovate the Joseph Junkin House built in 1738, and is currently situated on a hill overlooking New Kingston. And in 1952, was the location of the very first communion of the reformed Presbyterian Church outside of the British Isles.
