***NOTICE***
Applications For Town Council Now Being Accepted
Due to a recent councilor resignation, the Town Council is now accepting applications to fill the vacated seat. The successful applicant will serve as Town Councilor until the next scheduled election in June of 2027.
Those wishing to apply for consideration at the October 5th council meeting should fill out the application and background check authorization form and return to the town office marked: Attention Town Manager. Also, the council has requested that all who apply should attend the October 5th 6pm council meeting in person to answer any questions the council may have.

To complete a paint and carpet project the Clerk's office will close at Noon on Thursday August 20th and reopen on Tuesday August 25th at 10am.

***IMPORTANT NOTICE***

Bill Dunlop Memorial Bridge Work Update

Starting on July 27th 2026 the Bill Dunlop Memorial Bridge on Route 121 / Pleasant St,

located in Mechanic Falls will be restricted to a 11' roadway width and traffic will be

alternating one way traffic. North bound South Main St truck traffic will be detoured at

the intersection of Route 11 and Route 26. North bound South Main St truck traffic will

detour onto Route 26 North then Mechanic Falls Rd South. The restriction and truck

detour will be in place until September 19th 2026.

Tuesday June 30th - The town office will close at Noon on Tuesday June 30th for year-end work... and re-open Wednesday July 1st at 8am.
Thursday July 2nd and Friday July 3rd - The town office will close at 12:30pm on Thursday July 2nd for the July 4th Holiday... and re-open Monday July 6th at 8am.
