On October 24th–25th, TierOne Fastpitch, in partnership with the Mebane Police Department, will host the 2026 Ghost Busters Softball Tournament to benefit Special Olympics.

Everyone Please Plan Ahead.

🚧 Reminder: Norfolk Southern Rail Construction Begins Monday

Norfolk Southern rail construction work is expected to begin in Mebane on Monday, August 24, at the Redman Road crossing as part of the Carolinian and Piedmont Passenger and Freight Improvements (CAPPFI) project.

Temporary rail crossing closures will be necessary while crews complete rail replacement and asphalt work. Motorists should expect detours, follow posted signage, and allow additional travel time.

Affected crossings include:
• Redman Road
• Buckhorn Road
• Mattress Factory Road
• Fifth Street
• Fourth Street
• Third Street
• Moore Road
• Gibson Road

The City understands these closures may cause inconvenience, especially as the new school year begins. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as this important infrastructure work moves forward.

Does this beautiful baby belong to you or someone you know? The dog was located in the Wilson Road area behind the Sheetz in Mebane. Unfortunatley we had to take her to the Burligton Animal Shelter because we could not locate the owner.
