We have had several questions reguarding our Angel Tree applications. We are working on dates and will post as soon as we have them set. PLEASE DO NOT CALL AND ASK.

Requirements may be different than years past:
1) PLEASE if you are struggling this Christmas Season we want to bless you and your family, and make the application and distribution process as easy as we can. Distribution is done by appointment, no long lines and we do not want anyone who is employeed to take time off of work to apply or pick up. We will make the process work!
2)The program is available for children ages 0-16
3) Parents must prove custody of the children they are applying for.
4) Families must reside in Crawford County
5) Families must NOT apply for anyother programs that provide gifts.

We are looking for businesses who would like to host an Angel Tree. We will provide the tags with a list of needs and wishes of the children in our community. We will provide a box for collecting, and we will customize the collection of the gifts.

We will be meeting as scheduled! Come an meet if you are available. I e will work on schedule as well as a plan for programs.

As we strive to meet needs beyond the food box we are excited to share that we now have cat and dog food, dish soap, bars of soap and feminine hygiene products available. These items are available just for the asking during our regular pantry hours on Tuesdays 9-11:45 and Thursdays 1-3:45 or you may stop in during office hours. REMEMBER: beginning next week we are asking for appointments AND appointments should only be made if you haven’t visited a pantry in the past 7 days prior to your appointment.

OK CRAFTERS!!!! We asked if there was any interest in a crafting event. We are VERY EXCITED to offer an event for crafters to gather, and share ideas and creativity!!!! We will offer tools and supplies for cardmaking, junk journaling, and scrapbooking, but the event is not limited to paper crafts! If you crochet, knit, make jewelry, or any other crafts we forgot to mention, bring your supplies, we will provide the space and the hot and cold beverages. On Friday we will offer a light supper and on Saturday we will offer a light lunch.
PLEASE register by emailling Major Candy at [email protected] Let me know you plan to attend and we will ensure we have enough for our meals.
Payment can be made in cash the day you attend.

Inorder to stretch our resources and provide a smooth service to those we serve we are asking that our community understand that our pantry is for emergency food needs.
If you are completely out of food and have not visited any other food pantries the prior week, or the week of our distribution, you are invited to call 814-724-3738 for an appointment.

Wow! Majors Candy and Ed have been in Meadville for 2 months already and are having a great time meeting everyone and getting involved in community events. They have also been listening and hearing on how The Salvation Army can be more relevant! We are pleased to announce that the Hours Of Operations have been modified to accommodate your needs. These hours will take effect September 1st. The 2 most notable changes are: Sunday Services and the Food Pantry hours and procedures. If you haven't already done so, we would love to meet you and greet you. God Bless Meadville, Pa!!!!
