Fun Fact: Did you know McKinley’s cow prank was re-enacted in 1965? President William McKinley while an undergraduate in 1860 at Allegheny, was involved in a successful plot to place a full grown cow in Bentley Tower. The cow used in the re-enactment was a 100-pound heifer, which could be carried and secured by rope on the railed platform roof.
