BREAKING: Pennsylvania Officials Confirm State Has Four Seasons, Three Of Which Occur During The Same Weekend
According to the official Pennsylvania seasonal calendar, winter occupies roughly half the year, beginning sometime around “I guess I should bring a hoodie” and ending three weeks after everyone already put the snow shovel away.
Fall arrives for approximately 17 beautiful minutes. The mountains turn orange, everyone buys cider, somebody takes 600 pictures at a pumpkin patch, and then a 40 mph wind removes every leaf in the Commonwealth overnight.
Spring technically exists. This is the six-week period where it’s 31 degrees at 7 a.m., 74 by lunch, raining sideways at 3:00, and your car is coated in enough pollen to become legally classified as agricultural equipment.
Then there’s summer.
Summer lasts approximately nine business days.
It will be 96 degrees, 94% humidity, every road crew in Pennsylvania will simultaneously close one lane, and your electric bill will arrive looking like a mortgage payment.
Then one random morning in August you'll walk outside, feel a slight chill and say: “Fall’s coming.”
And Pennsylvania immediately begins winter again.
