๐ŸŒป Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United States. It started in Galveston, Texas and is now celebrated every year on June 19 across the United States. More information on Juneteenth can be found here: https://nmaahc.si.edu/juneteenth

Celebrate Juneteenth in Meadville by joining Crawford County Historical Society at 10am in Greendale Cemetery for a walking tour and gravestone dedication ceremony for Pvt. Samuel Pratt.

The celebration continues at Family Children & Community Association at 11:30am for an afternoon of community and culture. Enjoy food, guest speakers, and more while learning about Juneteenth and Black History!
