We are so excited to share this adult wool felting workshop with everyone! This is open to the public and no affiliation with 4-H is necessary. The instructor is Mattie Horchler, Penn State Extension livestock educator based in Mercer County. Mattie taught a wet wool felting Make and Take Workshop for our 4-H members last winter and we are excited that she is coming back to Crawford County to teach adults to how needle felt! The workshop is Wednesday, October 7th starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Penn State Extension Office, 16871 Craig Road, Saegertown, PA 16433. The cost is $25 and you'll go home with a wool felted pumpkin. Space is limited so register today at https://extension.psu.edu/wool-wonders-exploring-wool-through-felted-pumpkins. Get some friends together and come join us to learn about Wool Wonders and how to needle felt!

Today we celebrate Rob Pipper. Thank you Rob for your continued dedication to the 4-H program!

It's time for our Pennsylvania 4-H Volunteer Spotlight! Each week, Pennsylvania 4-H highlights volunteers who are doing great work around the state.

Today, we are celebrating Rob Pipper of Crawford County!

Rob is a project leader with both the Livin’ on Livestock 4-H Club and the Crawford County 4-H Shooting Sports Club. He has been a 4-H volunteer for 12 years.

Rob is a state 4-H certified archery instructor, and he helped start the county shooting sports club for archery 5 years ago and continues as an archery instructor in the club today.

Rob was a former organizational leader of Livin’ on Livestock, and he now oversees the swine project area. Rob also oversees livestock showmanship practices and the Halloween parade float committee for the club. He is always busy in the swine barn and during the swine shows at the county fair, helping anywhere there is a need.

His nominator says, "Rob is always finding ways to teach and support the youth in all they do!"

Rob is pictured with one a 4-H members at the county fair.
