This past weekend at North Fakota Firemen’s Convention in MayVille our own Greg Messner was awarded his 50 year pin for years in the fire service. Greg has meant so much and more to the McVille Fire Department. 50 years is an accomplishment in itself but to still be active at fires and all events is something you don’t see. Thank you Greg for everything you have done and will continue to do for our community and our department!

FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF
THE DEVILS LAKE BASIN...

The National Weather Service in Grand Forks has issued a Fire
Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from Sunday afternoon through Sunday evening.

* AFFECTED AREA...In North Dakota, Towner, Cavalier, Benson,
Ramsey, Eddy, Nelson and Western Walsh.

* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 24 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
Red Flag Warnings.

Tomorrow is our Smoker at the firehall! Hope to see you all there! We will be adding something a little new this year. We will be having a Last Paddle Standing Auction for a HUGE meat bundle including Ribeye Steaks, New York Strip Steaks, Sirloin Steaks, 10lb of Burger, Bacon, Ham, Turkey, and Chicken!!! All in one bundle!
As always will will have our full supper and refreshments and the same other games throughout the night!
