Telfair County Schools is excited to introduce our new mobile application for our parents, students, and community members. The mobile app will be used to deliver important school updates and announcements. The mobile app also displays breakfast and lunch menus, school calendars, and athletic schedules. The app is available for Apple and Android devices through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Please click the on the instructions below to install the app as well as turn on notifications. Notifications must be turned on within the mobile app in order to ensure delivery of important school announcements. In the future, the mobile app will be used for announcements rather than Facebook.

Late this morning a faculty member reported hearing loud noises near the TCMS/TCHS campus. Both TCMS and TCHS briefly entered Code Blue, and the administration and school law enforcement quickly determined the noise came from off-campus and posed no threat to either campus. Normal operations resumed within 1-2 minutes. Thank you very much.

Telfair County Schools will resume in-person instruction for all students on Monday, September 13, 2021. We look forward to the return of our students on Monday. We ask that students and staff continue the temporary mask requirement on Monday pending further guidance to follow next week. Thank you very much.

Due to the continued high rate of COVID cases in our community, Telfair County Schools will continue virtual learning for one more week through Friday, September 10, 2021. We plan to resume in-person instruction on Monday, September 13, 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience and pray for the well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Due to the continued increase in COVID cases in our community, Telfair County Schools will continue virtual learning for one more week through Friday, September 3, 2021. We plan to resume in-person instruction on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience and pray for the well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Due to the increase in COVID cases in our school system and community, Telfair County Schools will switch to online/packet learning beginning Wednesday, August 18, 2021, through Friday, August 27, 2021. Tomorrow (August 17, 2021) will be an optional day for students to attend in-person learning. Students will be excused if they do not attend tomorrow. Students will receive information tomorrow about assignments. We plan to resume in-person instruction on Monday, August 30, 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience and pray for the well-being of our students, staff, and community.

Due to the increase in COVID cases, Telfair County Schools will begin requiring masks inside all facilities when social distancing is not possible. This temporary mask requirement will be in effect beginning August 12 and will last until August 31, 2021. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Free COVID-19 vaccines will be available at TCMS/HS during Open House on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. in the cafeteria. The Pfizer vaccine will be available for children ages as young as 12. The Moderna vaccine will be available for those ages 18 and older. A parent or guardian must be present to sign for the vaccine if under age 18 years. The event is sponsored by the Telfair County Health Department.

Tiny Trojans is an early literacy program for 3-year-old children living in Telfair County. The program is operated by Telfair County High School. Classes will begin in August, 2021 and will be held Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 11:30 am.

Friday, May 28, 2021, is an early release day for Telfair County students. Telfair County Pre-K bus riders will be dismissed at 11:30 A.M. and Pre-K car riders will be dismissed at 11:40 A.M. Telfair County Elementary car riders will be dismissed at 11:40 A.M. and elementary bus riders will be dismissed at 11:50 A.M. All middle school and high school students will be dismissed at 12:00 P.M. Thank you and have a safe and happy summer.
