This weekend, on Friday and Saturday, Sheriff Montagne attended the home volleyball and football games at Bethany College .
During these games, the college honored first responders for their service and sacrifice to the country. As a Bethany College alumni Sheriff Montagne was also privileged to conduct the coin toss for the start of the Saturday football game.

Today, 25 years later, we remember the attacks of September 11, 2001. A day that changed countless lives forever.

2,977 victims and 19 terrorists perished.

2,753 victims perished at the World Trade Center.
125 victims perished at the Pentagon.
40 victims perished with Flight 93.

343 New York firefighters perished.
23 New York Police Department officers perished.
37 Port Authority Police Officers perished.

On this day, we remember how a nation became a family and how the world came together with limitless compassion.

On Wednesday, Captain Arlo Blevins was the featured speaker at the McPherson Board of Public Utilities’ quarterly “Lunch & Learn” educational luncheon. Captain Blevins presented on De-Escalation, sharing practical strategies for navigating difficult interactions, improving communication, and reducing conflict in both professional and everyday settings.

🚨 $1 FOR A BUCKLE! 🚨

State Farm and Wendy’s teamed up for a great reminder about something that can save lives — BUCKLE UP! ❤️

Today members of the Sheriff's Office helped hand out $1 to every person who came through Wendy’s buckled up! 🚗💵

It was a fun way to encourage everyone to make the right choice and remember that taking a few seconds to buckle your seatbelt can make all the difference.

Buckle up, drive safe, and arrive alive! 🙌
