A cyanobacteria bloom has been reported at Lafayette Locks Park. Some blooms produce toxins that can make people sick if contaminated water is swallowed.
Do not swim, wade, play in, drink or cook with affected water. Watch for diarrhea, vomiting or flu-like symptoms, especially among young children, adults 60 and older and people with underlying health conditions.

Yamhill County is seeking new membership on the local Alcohol and Drug Planning Committee. The role of the committee is focused on identifying needs and establishing priorities for alcohol and drug prevention and treatment services in the community. Potential priorities for the Committee to focus on include:

• The increasing numbers of DUIIs
• Overdose prevention
• Identification and planning around gaps in the spectrum of services including prevention, treatment and recovery

Meetings occur once per quarter. The focus is on high-level, long-term systems work and strategic development.
