As the director of the board at Tiny Tots, I am sad to announce I will be leaving the Tiny Tots family. I am working on several new endeavors, including completing my degree program at Chemeketa, and I am unable to devote the energy required for this position without sacrificing important time with my family.
The Tiny Tots board will be searching out a new board director and I am asking for your help in finding the right person for the job. This is a volunteer position and requires great organizational and people skills. All members of the Tiny Tots board receive %50 off the annual membership. Dedication to serving the diverse families in our community is essential to this position. An ideal candidate would be someone seeking volunteer work for future employment opportunities, or someone who has previous experience in the early childhood development whose children are now older.
The director does not need to have children in the program, but would need to have an understanding of young children ages 0-5. Again, this is not a paid position. Some responsibilities include organizing board meetings once a month, keeping track of budget expenditures, coordinating special events and keeping cleaning active at the center. There are several very capable members on the board currently but a director is needed to help keep things running smoothly.
