βοΈ Heat Advisory Expected Sunday and Monday
Warmer temperatures and dry conditions are expected across our area this weekend and into early next week. We encourage community members to take a few simple precautions to help protect themselves and reduce the risk of fire.
π₯ Fire Safety
β’ Avoid activities that may create sparks in dry vegetation
β’ Properly dispose of smoking materials
β’ Avoid parking vehicles on dry grass
β’ Use caution when operating outdoor equipment
π§ Heat Safety
β’ Stay hydrated throughout the day
β’ Take breaks in the shade or air-conditioned spaces
β’ Limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak temperatures
β’ Ensure pets have access to fresh water and shade
As temperatures rise and vegetation continues to dry, small actions can make a significant difference in preventing fires and reducing heat-related illness.
