Join Carlton Observatory this Thursday, Sept. 10, 7–10 PM for a guided Moon Nights tour at Miller Woods. With no moon to wash out the sky, you’ll see just how much is up there — telescopes provided, no experience needed. Perfect for families and first-time stargazers.

Pickup will be during the fall Harvest Exchange and Native Plant Sale on October 3rd from 10am to 1pm. There are no preorders for other plants, just the two bulb species in this trial run. Proceeds support Miller Woods!

Yamhill SWCD is trying something a little different this year! We are holding a preorder bulb sale. This is a trial run, so we're only including two species - Oregon Yampah and Great Camas. Orders are open now until September 23rd or supplies run out, whichever comes first! All proceeds support Miller Woods. Check yamhillswcd.org/native-bulb-sale

Parents, this one’s for you!

We’re excited to partner with Outdoor Education Adventures to offer a Kids Outdoor Camp for ages 5–12 during the Miller Woods Trail Run!

While you’re out on the course, your kids can enjoy their own outdoor adventure with games, arts & crafts, and opportunities to collect and observe critters from the pond.

Kids Camp is available to race participants and space is limited to 20 children per race.

Already registered? You can go back into your registration and select Kids Outdoor Camp as an add-on.

It’s one more way we’re making race day a little easier, and a lot more fun, for the whole family.

Register for the Miller Woods 10K or 5K and reserve a Kids Camp spot while space is available!

Bumblebees are enjoying the improved air quality with the wind shift! There were over a dozen of them asleep in the goldenrod this morning. Which begs the question... if you were to sleep in a big pile of breakfast food, which food would you pick? 🤔

Remember, Miller Woods is surrounded by residential neighbors! There are also quite a few deer in the area, and they're not very afraid of cars. Drive cautiously and respect all speed limits.
