NEW PROMOTIONS

With Cadet Captain Trombla aging out, the Cadet Advisors had the opportunity to promote a few Cadets into higher leadership positions. Congratulations to newly promoted Cadet Captain Orlando Torres, Cadet Lieutenant Madyson Erickson and Cadet Sergeant Eli Erazo!

These Cadets have all worked extremely hard over their years in the Cadet Unit to get themselves to where they are today. They show up regularly and are known for being professional, hardworking and energetic. We're excited to see how the Cadet Unit continues to grow under their leadership!

CADET CAPTAIN KAIHDAN TROMBLA AGES OUT

After over three years of dedicated volunteer service, Cadet Captain Kaihdan Trombla has officially aged out of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office Cadet Unit. Since joining in 2022, Kaihdan has contributed nearly 2,000 volunteer hours, assisting at countless community events, going on over 120 patrol ride-alongs, and attending regular meetings and trainings.

Kaihdan’s commitment, knowledge, and professionalism have earned him numerous accolades, including the Cadet Excellence Award, the Cadet Advisor’s Award, and multiple honors during the annual Multi-Agency Cadet Competition. Known for being sharp, squared away, and incredibly reliable, Kaihdan has inarguably left a lasting mark on the Cadet Unit.

While we will certainly miss his presence and leadership, we are incredibly proud of all he has accomplished and are excited to watch him continue his career in public service as he moves toward a full-time law enforcement position.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Kaihdan for his service, dedication and the strong legacy he's left behind for future Cadets!

Last night's fundraiser dinner and auction put on by the Yamhill County Sheriff’s Office Foundation was a huge success! The Cadets were proud to help out with the event, a first for the Foundation, which supports the Sheriff's Office and all the volunteer groups by receiving and disbursing community donations. You can learn more about their mission here: ycsofoundation.org

The Cadets assisted the McMinnville School District and the McMinnville Police Department last night with making sure the Mac High Graduation went smoothly. Some of our Cadets attend Mac High so there were lots of familiar faces, friendly interactions and possibly some future Cadets recruited!

Once again, the Cadet Unit was able to help out with one of their favorite events of the year, the annual Perrydale School District Bike Ride! This event has been a tradition for the fifth grade class for many years.

The Cadets provide rolling traffic control as they es**rt the bicyclists from Perrydale School to Amity City Park and back. At the park, the kids challenged the parents, teachers and Cadets to a rematch of the kickball tournament from last year and we're proud to report that the adults crushed the opposition this year! 😎
