You are not the hero of your child’s story story. And that is actually the point.

In this episode, we sit down with Annie Iverson, an adoptive mom of four, to talk honestly about what it looks like to build and keep real connection with birth family over the years. We talk through the fear that keeps us from reaching out, the small rhythms that make consistency possible, and why a blurry photo sent today matters more than the perfect update we never send.

Annie also shares the simple tool she created to help her own family stay connected, and how it has become a way for her daughters to have a voice in their own story.

If you have ever wondered how to keep that door open, or wondered if it is too late to try, this conversation is for us.
