We are Bona Fide!
The excitement that I felt when they installed this sign yesterday was beyond words!
Every day we have someone come in and say "I didn't know we had a library here"!
We have been closed for a month while we have done some major renovations.
Thanks to our kind friends from Southeast Oklahoma Library System for the generous donation of shelving, our library is now complete.
Since I stepped into the
Library Director position I have been blessed with the possibilities that have been put in front of me.
Every time I felt stressed or worried about something it ALWAYS comes through.
We will have a Grand Reopen Celebration soon.
We are so excited to show everyone what we have accomplished and what we have to offer our customers (A Maker Space, Libby, Recording Studio, Experience Passes, and more)
Until then I am resting this weekend so I can hit the ground running next week.

Dear Kickapoo Tribal Community,

The Kickapoo Tribal Library will be temporarily closed to the public to allow our staff to complete an extensive cleaning and preparation project in anticipation of the installation of our new library shelving.

During this closure, library staff will:
Thoroughly clean and sanitize the library areas.
Remove books and other materials from the existing shelving.
Relocate and organize library materials in preparation for the new shelving.
Prepare the Juvenile and Adult areas for the shelving installation.
Assist with the installation and placement of the donated library shelving.
Reorganize and return library materials to the appropriate shelving once the installation is complete.

This project represents an exciting improvement for the Kickapoo Tribal Library. The new shelving will provide a more organized, functional, and welcoming environment for our patrons and will allow us to better serve the Kickapoo Tribal community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to improve the library. We look forward to welcoming everyone back once the project is completed and showing you our library's new look!

Temporary Closure Dates: August 13th
Anticipated Reopening Date: September 1st

We had our End of Summer Carnival Celebration yesterday morning!

Childcare came out to celebrate with us. They received a book buck for every book they checked out this summer. They could spend them on games and concession treats. We even had face painting! Every kid left with a new book (so did the teachers)! We had lots of fun and are looking forward to the school year!

Ravenous Readers is fixing to start and it looks delicious! Can't wait to discuss some great books!
