The Military Women’s Memorial is proud to launch our celebration of America’s 250th anniversary on June 12 with our National Women Veterans Recognition Day Celebration: Honoring Women’s More Than 250-Year Legacy of Service to Our Nation.
For More Than 250 Years, Women Have Stepped Forward to Serve. Their contributions were not simply part of our history - they helped shape our Nation.
As we celebrate our Nation's 250th birthday, we have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to ensure their service is remembered alongside all those who have defended and strengthened our Nation across generations.

🌟 This Is Just the Beginning
Throughout the coming year, we will share stories of courage, service, resilience, and patriotism - stories that remind us that the strength of America has always been found in those willing to step forward when their Nation called.
As America celebrates 250 years, join us in honoring the generations of Americans whose service, sacrifice, and patriotism have shaped our Nation, while bringing long-overdue recognition to the women whose service and contributions also helped build, defend, and strengthen it every step of the way...even before there was a Nation.
