She dreams of becoming a chef. 👩‍🍳 But more than anything, Desiree dreams of having a family. ❤️

At 15, Desiree has experienced more uncertainty than any child should. Yet she remains hopeful, loves helping others, enjoys spending time in the kitchen, and dreams of a future where she can learn, grow, and finally belong.

Because of Desiree’s age, we strongly recommend that families interested in her case have a completed home study or USCIS approval. Her time to find a permanent family is limited, so please share this post. You never know who in your circle might be the family Desiree has been waiting for.

It’s back-to-school time, and we’re celebrating one very special student! 📚

Amy Danner shares these photos of her son, Bereket, whom she and her husband, Mark, adopted from Ethiopia in 2012. Bereket has attended Ohio Valley Christian School since kindergarten. Today, he plays varsity soccer and basketball, loves working out at the gym, stays active in his church teen group, and enjoys spending time with friends whenever he can.

And now… he’s a senior! 🎓 We can hardly believe how quickly the years have flown.
