We’re proud of our McKinney Fire members who took part in the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb.

The climb honors the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001, remembering their courage, service, and the steps they took into danger to help others.

It’s an honor to stand alongside first responders from across the region and help carry their legacy forward.

Join us at 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at McKinney Fire Headquarters as we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Mayor Bill Cox, Fire Chief Paul Dow, Police Chief Joe Ellenburg, and Assistant Chief of Police Thomas Macri will share remarks during the ceremony.

Approximately 3,000 small American flags will be displayed across the grounds in remembrance of those who lost their lives, the first responders who answered the call, and all those forever impacted by the events of that day.

We hope you’ll join us as we come together as a community to remember, honor, and reflect

A surprise visit for Station 2! 🔥

Members of the McKinney North High School Freshman Cheer squad stopped by Station 2 with some goodies to show their appreciation for our firefighters and the work they do each day.

We’re always grateful when young members of our community take the time to recognize our crews, and we loved getting the chance to visit, take a few pictures and show them around the fire station!

🔥 STRUCTURE FIRE | N. TENNESSEE ST.

McKinney Fire Department crews made a quick stop on a residential structure fire in the 500 block of N. Tennessee St. Monday afternoon.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the home and quickly went to work to contain the fire and prevent further spread.

Great work by our crews on a fast, coordinated response. 🚒🔥
