The ongoing $10 million renovation of the McKinney Performing Arts Center reflects a commitment to preserving the places that help define our community. As one of Downtown McKinney's most recognizable landmarks, MPAC has played an important role in the area's growth and revitalization for decades.

When complete, the project will deliver critical infrastructure improvements, restored historic elements, and an enhanced experience for visitors while maintaining the character that makes the venue so special.

Collin County continues to lead the nation in growth, with four of the five fastest-growing cities in America located right here in North Texas. McKinney remains a key driver of that momentum, ranking among the nation's leaders in numeric population growth and welcoming more than 8,500 new residents in just one year.

This growth reflects more than population gains, it highlights the strength of our economy, the quality of life our community offers, and the opportunities that continue to attract residents, businesses, and investment to the region.

With Collin County projected to surpass 2.2 million residents by 2060, the future is bright, and McKinney is well-positioned to help lead the way.

McKinney Economic Development Corporation continues investing in infrastructure that supports long-term business growth and regional connectivity.

McKinney National Airport (TKI) serves one of the largest corporate jet populations in the region with streamlined arrivals, on-site U.S. Customs, and efficient access designed for modern business travel.

Beginning in fall 2026, TKI will expand its impact even further with the introduction of full commercial service, positioning McKinney as home to the region’s third major national airport.

With an expected 200,000+ annual commercial passengers, the airport’s growth represents another major step forward for McKinney’s future.

Recently we celebrated the graduates of the Registered Apprenticeship Program and recognized a group of individuals who stayed focused, pushed through challenges, and continued showing up for their future.

Programs like this help strengthen McKinney’s workforce pipeline and create opportunities for both employees and employers to grow together.
