The Samaritan Inn Food Pantry is incredibly grateful to have been selected as one of the beneficiaries of this year’s Empty Bowls McKinney event! Thanks to the generosity of this incredible community, Empty Bowls raised $9,000 in support of our pantry. 💙

Thank you to every community member who showed up in support of local hunger relief efforts. It was an honor to stand alongside fellow organizations working to nourish our neighbors and strengthen our community.

At The Samaritan Inn, we see firsthand how access to food can bring stability, dignity, and hope to individuals and families facing hardship. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. 💚

For many individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges can be both a cause and a result of housing instability. At The Samaritan Inn, we believe healing goes beyond providing shelter. Through supportive services, counseling resources, community support, and compassionate care, we strive to help individuals and families find a path forward.

A huge thank you to TOYOTA for spending the day serving alongside us at The Samaritan Inn! 💙

Their team rolled up their sleeves and got to work on a full-scale service project to deep clean our Pavilion building from top to bottom, and no detail was overlooked!

Additional teams also jumped in at our Inn Style store and Food Pantry, and even took the time to assemble new furniture to support our space.

This kind of hands-on support makes a real, immediate impact for the individuals and families we serve every day. We’re grateful for a team that shows up ready to work and make a difference.

A big thank you to Armanino for spending the day volunteering with us at The Samaritan Inn! 💚

From the moment they arrived, their team brought energy, curiosity, and a true willingness to serve! Their team spent time helping out in our Inn Style Resale Store and Food Pantry, and they took on the major task of organizing closets in our residential spaces.

No job was too big or too small, and their positive attitude made a lasting difference across our campus.

Help kids at The Samaritan Inn experience a summer filled with learning, stability, and joy.
For children experiencing homelessness, summer can mean lost progress and limited opportunities. Without access to safe, enriching environments, many fall behind academically and socially.

That’s why our Summer Enrichment Program matters. It’s not just activities—it’s structure, support, and a chance for kids to grow, build confidence, and just be kids again.

Your support makes that possible. 💛

Here’s what your gift can do:

🎒 $5,000 = Send 5 children to 5 weeks of summer camp
🏀 $2,500 = Give 30 kids access to a museum or sports camp experience
📚 $1,000 = Provide a full summer of essentials and enrichment for 1 child
🚌 $500 = Cover transportation for 30 kids to attend a field trip
🎨 $250 = Supply summer essentials and backpacks for 30 kids
🍎 $100 = Provide 60 snack bags for kids attending camp

🎯 Our goal: Sponsor all 63 kids who currently call The Inn home.
