Last week MFRC had the pleasure of hosting an Indigenous Lactation Counselor Training, facilitated by Camie Goldhammer and Kimberly Moore Salas. We are excited to share that we now have 17 newly certified lactation peer counselors committed to serving their communities throughout Humboldt, Del Norte, and Siskiyou counties!

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Seventh Generation for Indigenous Peoples Fund for graciously opening their space and hospitality to us under circumstances beyond our control, enabling this group to finish this 45-hour training strong.

Thank you to the participants of this training for your commitment to your communities and to Camie and Kim for all that you do for Native families!
