Meet AZ: future educator, world traveler in the making, and one of our Global Studies Student Ambassadors. 🌎

Azariah Busby is from Rutherford, Tennessee, and studies Special Education Intervention K-8 at Bethel University. Around campus, you’ll also find AZ serving as STEA President, a Resident Assistant, and one of our Global Studies Student Ambassadors. 💜

One of the biggest things travel has taught AZ is to keep perspective, seize the day, and enjoy life even when circumstances get hard. And what is AZ most excited about with Global Studies? “Meeting other people from different cultures and making memories of a lifetime.”

We think that’s a pretty good reason to keep seeing the world. 😎

The department is excited to release the Tennessee Framework for Student Support (TN-FSS) Manual and the RTI²-A for District Leaders Manual. Together, these resources support schools and districts in building aligned systems that promote academic success and positive behavior for every student.

A true inspiration ✨

We mourn the loss of Dolly Parton, whose impact on our state extends far beyond her music. Through her unwavering commitment to literacy through the Imagination Library, she has gifted more than 332 million books to children, including almost 3.2 million books each month across 5 countries. Dolly inspired generations of Tennessee children to discover the joy and power of reading, putting millions of books into the hands of young readers. Her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and dream will continue to shape lives for generations to come. The Tennessee Department of Education "will always love you!" 📚🩷🦋💜
