City of McKeesport - Mayor's Office Mayor Thomas Maglicco invites the people of McKeesport to use this page to stay aware of city events.

Mayor Michael Cherepko invites the people of McKeesport and neighboring communities to use this page as a way to connect with the city and learn about upcoming events and news. As our city promotes its message of "Respect, Dignity, Hope and Love," we welcome McKeesporters of all ages to take part in the great resources and amenities we have to offer. From children's activities to summer concerts in Renziehausen Park to a wealth of volunteer opportunities with countless service organizations, McKeesport remains the hub of the Mon Valley. The site will feature an updated community calendar of city-sponsored events as well as those hosted by organizations in our community. Mayor Maglicco was happy to support McKeesport Little Theater as a sponsor of Sunday’s Sing & Serve spaghetti dinner at the Jacob Woll (Main) Pavilion in Renzie Park.

Congratulations to the honorees who were recognized at Bethlehem Baptist Church’s inaugural Judah Awards dinner on Saturday (September 12, 2026) at Penn State Greater Allegheny.

Macedonia FACE, Soleil Meade, Jordan Grayson, and Congresswoman Summer Lee received awards for their work in community service and advocacy.

Dr. Trisha Gadson of the Jefferson Regional Foundation served as the keynote speaker, and our very own Troy Blackwell was the master of ceremonies.

On Saturday afternoon (September 12, 2026), Mayor Maglicco presented the Altrusa International Club of McKeesport with a proclamation honoring the civic organization for 85 years of service to the McKeesport community.

Altrusa, whose local charter was established in 1941, is a worldwide dedicated to improving communities through service, literacy, leadership, and fellowship.

Thank you, Altrusa members and volunteers, for making a positive impact on the lives of children, families, and individuals throughout this community.

Two days down, two to go! We had a great time today with food, entertainment, and a car cruise.

The Renzie Rib Fest continues on MONDAY from NOON to 7 PM with the Lions Craft and Vendor Fair at 2, This Indecision at 3, a Beach Boys tribute at 7, and fireworks after dark.

Activities are extended to Tuesday from 5-9 PM, with Beatlemania Magic at 7 PM.

Festivities continue SUNDAY and MONDAY (September 6 & 7) from noon to 9 PM and TUESDAY (September 8 ) from 5 to 9 PM.

!! LATEST UPDATE !!

The Renzie Rib Fest continues to be postponed due to conditions left by overnight storms.

Saturday's festivities will now begin with food sales opening at 5 PM and Suns of Beaches (Jimmy Buffet tribute) at 7 PM. The Lions craft show has been moved to MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, from 2-7 PM.

SUNDAY and MONDAY programming is still on schedule. Friday’s originally planned activities have been postponed until TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, with food sales starting at 5 PM and Beatlemania Magic at 7 PM.
