It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of State Rep Matt Gergely. Matt served as a member of the McKeesport Housing Authority board among his many, many, contributions to the City of McKeesport and McKeesport Housing Authority.

McKeesport Housing Authority has established a donation center at 601 6th street McKeesport Pa 15132. Donations of household goods can be dropped off 24 hours a day.

We thank the community for their help and support.

Residents of McKeesport Towers can begin returning to their units on 9/10/2023 at 9:00 am. Residents from the 7th floor and for units that end in “17” will need to meet management prior to returning.

We would to thank the community for all the offers of help for the displaced residents of McKeesport Towers.

We are praying to return some people home within the next 24 hours. Most will be able to return to their units, some will be transferred to new units. Some tenants have a total loss. Once I am able to access the building we will be establishing a donation collection on the community room for those that have lost everything.

Once people begin to return home the will need love, support, help, guidance, and goods. I have no doubt the amazing people reading this will make that happen.
