🚙 Exciting News for Jackson County! 🚙
A few weeks ago, our outreach vehicle was unfortunately totaled in the flood. Today, we are incredibly grateful to introduce the new vehicle that will allow us to continue serving people throughout Jackson County!
This outreach vehicle was acquired through a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), a federal agency that supports libraries and museums in providing valuable educational resources and community services.
Its truck-style design and spacious interior will help us travel throughout our rural county and reach patrons wherever they are. We use our outreach vehicle to deliver much more than books including food boxes, hygiene products, medical supplies, technology, educational materials, and other essential resources.
This vehicle is more than transportation it is a way for the Jackson County Public Library to bring help, resources, and hope directly to our community. We are extremely thankful for this funding and excited to continue expanding our outreach services across Jackson County! 💙
