We apologize for the delay in opening. We discovered a busted valve when opening for the season, and it was tricky finding a replacement.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of City Council Member Joe McKinney.

Joe was a proud veteran who served the City of McKee with dedication, care, compassion, kindness, and a great sense of humor, and we are grateful for the time and service he gave to our community.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. We are grateful for his service to our community.

A shelter is open at Jackson County Middle School, 139 Highway 587 McKee. A shelter is a temporary facility designed to provide immediate, short-term, and safe housing for individuals who cannot return to their homes due to power outages. To register for the shelter, you may contact the Jackson County EOC at 606-287-3838 or utilize the QR code shown. Citizens planning to utilize the shelter should bring their personal pillows and blankets and may bring a reasonably sized bag of their personal items. We will maintain the shelter as long as there is a need. With the establishment of a primary shelter, the warming centers at Jackson County Public Library and Annville Baptist Church will be closing this evening.

We are still working to fix the break, but hope to have service restored soon.

The updated Boil Water Advisory will include a customers from City Hall to the City limits on HWY 421 N, and include all side roads (Yellow Dog, Indian Creek, HWY 89 N, & 290)

‼️PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

Please be advised a Boil Water Advisory has been issued for HWY 290 beginning at the 100 block extending to the area of Tower Rd.

Please also be advised that at this time there is another active line break that has caused water disruption for all customers from McCammon Ridge to the City limits on HWY 421 N, including all side roads.
Crews are actively working to repair this line as quickly as possible! Another boil water advisory notice will likely be issued for this second line break later in the evening.
