Thank you to Garrad Neeley, Grandson of our Former Fire Chief Donnie Gabard for spending his Saturday working to help the City of McKee Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department get Engine 3 back in service. Our Chief Kyle Welch & Firefighters spent Friday Drill Night working on the truck but we still had a few things left to finish. Thanks to their efforts it is back in service!
The Ladder truck has mechanical issues that are not financially feasible to repair, and will soon be surplussed. This truck was also set to be surplussed but currently is going to help us maintain an Verisk insurance score that should not cause any significant changes to the fire insurance cost to anyone in our district.
