🚧 Wild Rice Celebration Traffic Notice 🌾🎉

The City of McGregor would like to clarify the traffic notice regarding decisions made by Aitkin County Land Department for the Wild Rice Celebration. The City is simply helping relay this information and working to keep residents, visitors, and event attendees safe during the celebration.

🚧 Maddy Street will be CLOSED and will not be available as an ATV/UTV reroute during the event.

✅ Trail users may still access the Soo Line Trail from either side of the closure.
❌ However, access to or from the trail via Maddy Street will not be available during the closure period.

These temporary restrictions are intended to promote public safety and help ensure a successful event for everyone attending the Wild Rice Celebration.

🌾🎉 Join Us for the Wild Rice Celebration!

Please note that Maddy Street will be CLOSED to through traffic during the event, and ATV/UTV traffic will not be allowed on Maddy Street for the safety of participants and attendees.

🚧 Maddy Street will be closed during the celebration.
❌ No ATV/UTV traffic will be allowed on Maddy Street.

🚧 Trail & Street Closure Alert 🚧

Please note that a previous announcement incorrectly stated that ATV/UTV traffic would be rerouted onto Maddy Street. No reroute will be available. Both the Soo Line Trail and Maddy Street will be inaccessible to ATV/UTV traffic and all other motorized vehicles for the duration of the event on Saturday September 5th.

🚫 Maddy Street will also be closed to all traffic during the event, including:

ATV/UTVs
Motor vehicles
Any other motorized traffic

We appreciate your cooperation as we work to keep the Wild Rice Celebration safe and enjoyable for everyone. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at this year's celebration!

McGregor Water Residents,

We want to inform you that we are aware of the water issues currently affecting the community. We are working closely with Minnesota Rural Water and have switched to a different well pump to ensure the water system continues to meet Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) standards.

At this time, the water remains safe to drink and use. We understand the inconvenience these issues may cause and want to assure you that we are actively working to resolve them as quickly as possible.

Committee members will help guide and support fundraising efforts, review capital projects, and make recommendations that enhance library services for residents. The committee will meet once a month and serve as an advisory group to the library and City Council.
