Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative was incorporated in 1937 to provide electricity to rural areas of Central Texas.

The Co-Op serves 18,000 members over 4,000 miles of line across Bell, Bosque, Coryell, Falls, Hamilton, McLennan and Milam counties.

UPDATE: Repairs have been made and power restore at 10:12 AM.

Crews are working to repair some storm damage on FM 1829 in Mound. They will need to cut power while working. This will affect approximately 200 meters in that area.

Please join us in congratulating our apprentice linemen on successfully passing their apprenticeship testing and reaching an important milestone in their professional development! 👏 👏

Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to learning the trade have paid off, and we are proud of the effort they have invested to achieve this accomplishment. The knowledge and skills gained through this program help ensure we continue providing safe, reliable service to our members and communities.

Special thanks to the supervisors, foremen, journeymen linemen, mentors, and many others who dedicated their time, shared their expertise, and provided support throughout the apprentices' journey. Your commitment to developing the next generation of linemen is greatly appreciated!

PLEASE NOTE DATE CHANGE

ATTENTION, SMARTHUB USERS!

SmartHub will undergo a system upgrade Thursday, June 25th between 7:55 and 8:05 p.m. For approximately ten minutes, payments processing will be unavailable.

Once this update is complete, members must be on the latest version of the SmartHub app to make a payment. The update required by SmartHub is available now in iOS and Google app stores.

PLEASE NOTE: The credit/debit card data entry screen will have a new appearance in SmartHub. The same data fields are required, but with a new look.

Rosebud-Lott High School students Cadence Johnson and Addison Wilde will represent Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative on the Government-in-Action Youth Tour June 14-24. They will join more than 140 other students from across Texas in Austin and head to Washington, D.C., where they will join students from across the country.

During the weeklong trip, they will meet with representatives in Congress, travel to historic monuments and landmarks, and visit museums where artifacts of our nation’s formation are preserved.
