The McGehee Police Department is asking parents for your help during this trying time in educating our children to the importance of practicing Social Distancing while out in the community, the Governor has recommended a 6 foot distance and no gathering in large groups to help combat the spread of this virus it up to us to help educate our children on the importance of this practice.
This is not like any other sickness you don't know who's been exposed to this because they may not have any symptoms at the time it doesn't mean its safe to gather in large groups.
This virus has never been heard of until around the end of 2019 it doesn't discriminate due to age, race or (location) demographics of where you live it can affect anyone, no one is immune, so let's help keep the children and families of McGehee safe by educating our children as the saying it takes a village to raise children.
The people of this country as never experienced anything like this before it's new to all of us but if we work together we can make it through this hopefully without experiencing the bad side of this virus all safe and healthy learning valuable lessons to pass on to future generation so if they face something of this magnitude the lessons we learned during this pandemic will guide them to a better and safer out come.
so lets all do our part and defeat this virus together. Thank you for your understanding in this trying time.
