Join us in welcoming Tacos Humildes to the McFarland Food Truck Park!

Tacos Humildes will be hosting their soft opening on Wednesday, June 17, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Food Truck Park, located at 918 Frontage Road in McFarland.

The City of McFarland is sharing this flyer provided by Tacos Humildes to help inform the community about their opening.

Save the Date!

Join the City of McFarland for our Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 2, at Blanco Park as we honor America’s 250th Anniversary.

This free community event will be picnic-style. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and their own food to enjoy an evening at the park with family and friends. Food trucks will also be available on site.

The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM or dusk.

Acompáñenos a la Celebración del Día de la Independencia de la Ciudad de McFarland el jueves, 2 de julio, en Blanco Park, en honor al 250 aniversario de Estados Unidos.

The City of McFarland is reopening the Hometown Heroes Banner Program in preparation for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.

This program honors and recognizes currently serving military members, veterans, and fallen service members.

Residents who previously received a Hometown Hero banner and would like it displayed again are asked to return their banner to City Hall by Friday, June 12, 2026.

New Hometown Hero Banner applications are also due by Friday, June 12, 2026 for those who would like to participate in the program.

La Ciudad de McFarland está reabriendo el Programa de Banners Hometown Heroes en preparación para el próximo feriado del 4 de Julio.

Este programa honra y reconoce a miembros militares actualmente en servicio, veteranos y militares caídos.

Senior Services are back beginning Tuesday, June 2! 

The City of McFarland is excited to welcome back Senior Services activities for adults ages 55 and older. Activities are free of cost and will continue throughout the year. 

Bible Study will begin on Tuesday, June 2 at 12:00 p.m. at Veterans Hall, located at 103 W. Sherwood Ave., McFarland, CA. 

Monthly activities include: 
First Tuesday of the month at 12:00 p.m.: Bible Study 
Second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.: Bingo and Lotería 
Last Tuesday of the month at 10:00 a.m.: Gardening Activity at the Community Garden 

Transportation is available through Dial-A-Ride. For transportation services, please call 661-778-3092.

The City of McFarland is sharing this information on behalf of McFarland Unified School District’s Food Services Department.

MUSD’s Seamless Summer Program will offer free breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under from June 1 through June 25, 2026, Monday through Thursday.

Meals will be available at Browning Road STEAM Academy, Kern Avenue Elementary, McFarland High School, and San Joaquin High School. Meals must be consumed in the cafeteria.

For meal times, locations, and more information, please contact McFarland Unified School District’s Food Services Department directly.

Road Closure Notice

W. Kern Avenue will be closed on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the McFarland Police Department’s Bike Rodeo.

The closure will be on W. Kern Avenue from 5th Street to the east side block wall of City Hall. Residents in the area will still be able to enter and exit their homes.

City Hall will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
As we observe Memorial Day, the City of McFarland honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

We wish everyone a safe Memorial Day.
