McEwen Fire Dept McEwen Fire Department The McEwen Fire Dept. was founded in 1957 and had one truck to respond to calls in the city. At that time, the McEwen Fire Dept. District 3.

In 1963 the fire department purchased the first new fire truck, making two trucks able to protect the citizens of McEwen. In the early 1990's the county seen the need for fire protection for the whole county. gained more area and became Humphreys County Fire Dept. Today we operate out of two stations, with 7 pieces of apparatuses, and with 23 members in our department.

Everyone plan on coming out this Saturday for this Fundraiser for Shannon Yates. We will have BBQ Chickens, BBQ Butts, BBQ by the Pound and Baked Goods. Anyone wanting to drop off baked goods for the Bake Sale, just bring them by the White Bluff Masonic Lodge that morning.
