McEwen Fire Dept McEwen Fire Department The McEwen Fire Dept. was founded in 1957 and had one truck to respond to calls in the city. At that time, the McEwen Fire Dept. District 3.

In 1963 the fire department purchased the first new fire truck, making two trucks able to protect the citizens of McEwen. In the early 1990's the county seen the need for fire protection for the whole county. gained more area and became Humphreys County Fire Dept. Today we operate out of two stations, with 7 pieces of apparatuses, and with 23 members in our department.

Heat indices will become SLIGHTLY less miserable through the weekend. By slightly, I mean we'll still be in the upper 90s to low 100s. And per usual, we'll have daily chances of afternoon and early evening thunderstorms.
