e. HCWA may at our discretion remove a posting or comment from our social media page if the posting or comment violates any of the standards outlined below. HCWA may also ban or revoke posting privileges for any individual who egregiously or repeatedly violates our posting standards. By engaging with our social media page, individuals also acknowledge Facebook is a third-party social media platform with its own policies and standards of conduct. HCWA does not control these policies or standards and is not responsible for the actions that Facebook may take if any of their policies or standards are deemed to be violated. It is each individual’s responsibility to be aware of both the HCWA’s and Facebook’s social media policies and standards before choosing to interact with the HCWA’s social media page. HCWA encourages all individuals to be mindful of and courteous toward others when posting. HCWA is not responsible for postings or comments made on our social media page by anyone other than our moderating team. HCWA’s social media page is public, so individuals should be cognizant of such when posting information to our page. While the HCWA respects each individual’s right to voice his or her own thoughts and opinions, we also reserve the right to remove any content that violates any of the following standards:
- Content that contains profanity, obscenity, threats, defamation, and/or the promotion of illegal or illicit activities.
- Content disclosing the private information, including HIPAA-protected medical information, of another citizen.
- Content that is discriminatory or retaliatory in nature.
- Content that solicits an individual or group of individuals to commit violence, destruction of property, or other criminal conduct.
- Content that is in favor of or in opposition to a political party, elected official, political candidate, or proposed legislation.
- Content that promotes organizations, businesses, or groups of individuals unrelated to HCWA (if posted without HCWA’s prior consent).
- Content that contains copyrighted material (if posted without the copyright holder’s prior consent).
- Content that is identified as spam, including links to other social media or web pages. Additional content standards may apply at the sole discretion of the HCWA. HCWA is subject to the Georgia Open Records Act. Any interaction on HCWA’s social media pages may be reproduced and disseminated by HCWA without notice. By interacting with our social media page, you agree that any content you post, comment on, or exchange via dialogue or discussion within the page has no expectation of privacy.
