Henry County Government offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. 🇺🇸

The Henry County Recycle Center will be closed Saturday, September 5 and Monday, September 7.

Regular business hours will resume Tuesday, September 8.

What an influential leader in our schools 🫡💙

Ola High School got an inside look at what it takes to build a successful career as Corporal Northcutt led an engaging career development session! Students explored the importance of setting goals, developing strong communication and leadership skills, making smart decisions, and preparing for their future careers. It was a great opportunity to bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world, while showing students that their choices today can help shape the future they want tomorrow.

Henry County residents are invited to roll up their sleeves and make a difference during Community Do Good Day!

Join the City of McDonough, local churches, businesses, civic organizations and community partners for a morning of service in the Blacksville community. Volunteers will help with exterior house painting and other projects throughout the neighborhood.

Individuals, families, church groups and businesses are welcome to participate. No special skills or experience are needed, just a willingness to lend a hand and serve our community.

📅 Saturday, September 19, 2026
⏰ 8 a.m. – noon
📍 Parking & Check-In: Henry County Middle & High Schools, 155–175 Postmaster Drive, McDonough

Please arrive promptly at 8 a.m. Shuttles will take volunteers from the parking area to their assigned project locations.
