Following periods of heavy rainfall yesterday, redevelopment of showers and thunderstorms along the I-85 corridor will support an increased risk of localized flash flooding through the morning. Be cautious if out and about this morning, especially before sunrise.

Our brief period of (relatively) tranquil weather will be coming to an end today, as scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening. A few storms may become strong to severe and capable of producing isolated damaging wind gusts up to 60mph. Temperatures will be a tick lower today due to increased convective/cloud coverage but will still reach into the upper 80s to mid-90s.

Shower and thunderstorm chances are increasing through the weekend as Gulf moisture funnels back into the area. Expect higher total accumulations over the north and western areas with lesser amounts expected elsewhere.

This program supports eligible veterans with repairs that improve home safety, accessibility, and overall quality of life because those who served our country deserve to live safely and independently in their own homes.

While our other programs focus on helping families become first time home buyers, our home repair program serves the needs of current homeowners.

Today was truly amazing! A few of our wonderful team members were honored to join the wonderful Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity team for the Building Hope 9/11 Build in McDonough.

As we remember the lives lost on September 11 and honor the courage, service, and unity shown in the days that followed, it was meaningful to put that spirit into action by helping build hope for a local family.

Thank you to the incredible Habitat team, volunteers, and everyone who came out ready to serve. We look forward to continuing this work, strengthening our partnership, and finding more opportunities to make a lasting difference in our community. 🛠️🏠
