We want to clarify the low water pressure issue that occurred yesterday.
Recently, we have been working to maintain an adequate chlorine residual. Due to low water usage in town, this has been a challenge. At a recent water conference, it was recommended that we lower the level of our water tower to help address this issue. After making that adjustment, it unfortunately resulted in lower water pressure throughout town.
At no point did we receive any first hand reports of residents being completely without water. Additionally, I was not made aware of the situation until approximately 4:00 PM, and due to being at my other job until 6:00 PM, I was unable to send out a notification any sooner.
We understand how frustrating water pressure issues can be and appreciate your patience as we work through adjustments to improve our system. We will continue monitoring the situation closely and make any necessary corrections.
We also respectfully ask that accurate information be shared. Misinformation—especially on social media—can cause unnecessary concern. If you ever have questions or concerns, please contact me directly so we can provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
