We are grateful the weather cooperated the last couple of days, allowing us to have some fun times at Jesse Owens State Park! If you haven't visited us lately, we hope you can join us soon! Next Saturday, at the Visitor Center, we will learn about Using Ohio's Medicinal Plants.

We've been getting non-stop inquiries about conditions at the park! The worst of the storms missed us and all is well. We have power and roads are passable

Please Note: State Route 78 is flooded between the park and McConnelsville. Drivers can avoid the route using SR 83 through Beverly.

SR 83 is passable in all directions.

🎃👻 **Our First-Ever Halloween Campout is Coming!** 👻🎃

Mark your calendars! Join us on October 23–24 for a spooktacular weekend of Halloween fun!

We've got a full lineup of activities planned, including:
🍬 Trick-or-Treating at all 5 campgrounds
🏕️ Best Decorated Campsite Contest
🎭 Best Costume Contests for **Kids, Adults, and Groups**
🎃 Best Decorated Pumpkin Contest
🚜 Haunted Hay Ride
…and plenty of Halloween memories waiting to be made!

Because this is **our very first Halloween Campout**, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a huge success. Whether you'd like to help with games, decorating, judging contests, handing out treats, or making the haunted hayride extra spooky, we'd love to have you on the team!

Saw Mill Road Campground D will be closed until further notice as construction crews remove the pit latrine and we prepare to open the new shower house.

Upon reopening, Saw Mill Road Campground will be available by reservation on ReserveOhio.com.

As our only reservable primitive campground, we hope visitors enjoy the peace of mind of knowing a site and a hot shower await them before leaving home.
