Public Notice: Availability of Demolition Grant Funds

Morgan County Economic Development announces the availability of grant funds to assist owners of private property with the demolition of dilapidated structures. These funds are intended to support the removal of unsafe or deteriorated buildings that negatively impact property values, safety, and community appearance. Eligible property owners may receive financial assistance toward demolition costs. The property owner will be responsible for 20% of the total demolition cost, with the remaining portion covered by grant funds, subject to approval and available funding.
Participation in the program is not guaranteed and will be based on eligibility criteria, project readiness, and funding availability.

An exciting win for The Morgan County Economic Development office! A grant was received for Front street to receive improvements including proper drainage and street resurfacing from the old bridge to the dam. Construction will not begin until the dam project concludes.

More than two dozen new transportation projects will positively impact ongoing economic development across Ohio. The projects are expected to support more than 19,400 jobs and more than $3 billion in private sector capital investments. Details: https://bit.ly/4nk9HIo
